Women thrashed in Kupwara; 2 hurt |
Kupwara, Aug 28: Two women were injured when police attempted to vacate the protesters in front of the office of district social welfare office here on Friday.
andnbsp;The protesting women were demanding extension of the date for submission of pre-matric scholarships for Below Poverty Line students.
andnbsp;The injured women have been identified as Saleema Begum wife of Abdul Hameed of Surigam in Lolab and Fareeda, wife of Muhammad Sultan of Drugmulla.
