Srinagar, Oct 10: At long last, the long-awaited Kashmir train will chug out, albeit symbolically, on Saturday. The prime minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, is expected to flag it off from the main station at Nowgam, on the outskirts of the summer capital, for a short run up to Budgam. The availability of a train service from south Kashmir’s Qazigund to Varmul in the north may still be a distant dream for the time being.
