Crippling curfew devastates fruit industry |
Varmul, Aug 30: Muhammad Ashraf of Varmul town has been on tenterhooks all week waiting for the curfew to be lifted. “I’ve not been able to attend to my orchard at Binner, Varmul,” he said wearing anxious looks at his face. “Our entire crop ready for packaging is rotting.”
andnbsp;He said that those associated with the industry have already suffered huge losses on account of economic blockade and now the curfew has taken a toll.
