Baig, Puri condole Despande’s demise |
Srinagar: The deputy chief minister, Muzaffar Hussain Baig, has expressed his condolence over the demise of Nirmala Despande, Member Parliament and a renowned Gandhian who passed away on Thursday.
andnbsp;Baig said the late leader espoused the cause of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society and worked tirelessly to bring about a transformation based on equality and right to opportunity. She was also a champion of secular traditions and human rights, he added.
