India - Kashmir - Protest A heavy police crackdown on rallies against the land transfer to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board failed to prevent senior Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, from leading a joint procession in the interior city Monday, though scores of protestors were injured in the police action and over fifty persons, including Hurriyat leaders, were arrested.
